We were delighted to receive our award at national Dentistry Awards 2016 - Highly Commended for BEST PRACTICE NORTH WEST.

We are delighted to have received our award for Excellence today from the Dental Hygiene and Therapy Awards 2016 in recognition for our hard work and dedication to Oral Hygiene and Therapy.

Particular thanks must go to our fantastic prevention team, Linda, Louise and Charlotte for their dedication and care they offer to our patients.

The Team have just returned from The Dental Awards in Birmingham, now in its 17th year, the Awards showcase the best in the dental profession, and recognise the achievements of both teams and individuals from across the country.

Ghyllmount Dental competed with practices from across the UK to be crowned first 'Team of the Year (North)', and then 'Team of the Year (UK)' at the awards ceremony in London on Friday 6th June 2014. The practice team were chosen to win both titles from two shortlists drawn up by a judging panel of industry professionals.

Now in their 16th year, The Dental Awards are designed to recognise the very best in UK dentistry and celebrate those who dedicate themselves to a profession that rarely receives the full credit it deserves.

Principal dentist at the practice, John Lewis, commented: “The team and I are delighted and extremely proud to have received both these amazing titles at The Dental Awards. We strive to provide our patients with the highest standards of dental care and recognise that it’s not just what happens in the surgery that's important– it’s the whole patient journey."

We are delighted to receive the news today that we have been selected as finalists for TEAM OF THE YEAR at the national Dental Awards 2014. The winners will be announced at a glittering black tie dinner on 6th June at London. Congratulations to the team and many thanks for their constant hard work and commitment to their roles. We are privileged to have such a caring and dedicated team.

We were very proud to have been shortlisted to the final 3 for our excellence in customer service.

The awards, which celebrate the achievements and enterprise of Cumbrian businesses, was presented at a gala dinner at Rheged, near Penrith, on October 17 and this year saw a 40 per cent increase in entries.

Our patients have been given another reason to smile after our practice implant provider picked up the award for 'Dentist of the year' at a recent awards ceremony.

Neil Sampson brushed off competition from 200 other practices to be named 'Dentist of the year' for his "personal approach and expertise in the area of dental implantology". Neil works from Ghyllmount where he places dental implants and treats patients with dental phobia. He offers a sedation service for patients with an acute fear of dentists.

Business Manager Karon Kirkland said the achievement was "well deserved, we all hold Neil in such high regard. We are delighted to have Neil as part of our team and are very proud to be able to offer his services from Ghyllmount"

A glitzy ceremony took place at the North Lakes Hotel in Penrith on 22nd June to announce the winners of Penrith Chamber of Trade’s first Stars of Business Awards, sponsored by Dodd & Co Accountants. Winner of the Large Business of the Year Award (sponsored by Armstrong Watson)

Ghyllmount Dental Practice – There were a large number of applications in this category, but the judges were particularly impressed with the passion Ghyllmount Dental Practice showed and the pride they have in what they do. They showed excellent growth and the judges feel confident that they are set to expand even further. They thought this business was fantastic and couldn’t have asked for more from a worthy winner.
