It was lovely to see our mothers and babies today as we promote 'check by one' #OHdcby1 which encourages parents to bring in their babies for a dental check up before the age of one.
Many thanks to all our babies who were good as gold and the mothers were quite well behaved too!

‘Happy Hour ‘Appointments for ladies or gents living with dementia.
You can leave your loved one with her for an hour where she will provide beauty or foot care treatments or their choice.
The cost for the hour is £30 leaving you free to do as you wish and leaving them feeling relaxed and refreshed on your return.
Your loved one will soon feel right at home with Joanne’s down to earth approach and friendly nature.
Joanne would be happy to meet you first if you wanted to chat things through before deciding if this is right for you.

We are pleased to announce that our Alzheimer's Cupcake Day raised £225. Many thanks to all who came and bought, to the Ghyllmount bakers and special thanks to Linda Hebson Cupcakes and Crafty Bakers for their very kind donations too.
We are very pleased to launch our 'Please be patient' badge for those living with dementia.
We have listened to ways in which we can do more and help the carers of and those who have dementia. One lady said it was very difficult taking her husband to places and having to explain everywhere she went what the situation was. She said him wearing an identifying band or badge would be useful but she hadn't been able to find anything. With that in mind we researched what was available and also found nothing so we have designed our own.
These badges are available free of charge from our reception desk. Anyone wanting one please call in or get in touch. We will be happy to send one out to anyone unable to get in to us.

Calling patients of Ghyllmount who suffer with Gag Reflex.
Our Dental Therapist Linda Holmes has recently undertaken training to administer Dental Acupuncture. Initially she will be offering acupuncture to aid the gag reflex.
In order to gain her Certificate of Competency she has been asked to submit a number of cases for assessment.
If you have a gag reflex, Please get in touch if you would like a complementary hygiene visit with Linda whilst she administers acupuncture. As a thank you, this will be free of charge and will be a great training opportunity for Linda.
I have personally benefited from this treatment with Linda and found the whole experience to be very relaxing. I am happy to discuss further if you would like more information.
